We flew to Mexico City to celebrate my 73rd birthday. Can’t believe I am 73, but so far so good. When we told our friends that we were going to Mexico several of them said can we come to. So here we are with John from SF, Guillermo from Italy and New York, Robert and Darryl from LA and Claudia from Minneapolis. We are staying at an ever so hip hotel called “The Downtown Hotel”. It is in Historical Central Area of Mexico City. It is an old property that has been restored.

We especially liked an interior wall that was made to look like it was a horizontal garden with a bicycle in it. It was very clever!

We walked around the area, did some shopping, had several great margaritas. We ate at the hotel; the food was excellent. Tomorrow is the big day and we eat dinner at   Pujol which is considered one of the best 50 restaurants in the world. Full report tomorrow!
